Plein Air Augusta 2025
Augusta introduced a completely different environment—rolling vineyards, humid air, and a softer, more atmospheric landscape than what I’m used to in Colorado. It pushed me to adapt quickly and see the land differently.

PAINTINGS FROM THE EVENT
Painting in Missouri required a shift in mindset. The landscape felt more subtle and layered, with less dramatic contrast and more focus on atmosphere. The community around the event was incredibly welcoming, and the vineyard settings created a unique backdrop for the entire week.
Painting in the rain challenged me - pastels absolutely melt in the rain which left me searching for shelter quote often. I’ve learned it’s best to find friends and paint outside of my comfort zone in new areas. For that I’m thankful.
