Plein Air Estes 2025
Estes Park threw everything at us—rain, wind, and constant weather shifts—but it turned into one of the most rewarding events I’ve had. Between the challenges and the energy of the auction and quick draw, it was a week I won’t forget.

PAINTINGS FROM THE EVENT
The weather defined this event. Rain nearly every day is quite atypical for Colorado in August- and it forced me to adapt quickly, including setting up inside a weather shelter and painting through wind and drizzle. One of the highlights was the quick draw and live auction—it was fast-paced, competitive, and incredibly exciting to be part of.
One of the defining pieces from the week, Bubbles Downstream, came from painting along the Big Thompson River in the rain. Working in those conditions pushed my limits and resulted in a piece that now lives in a private collection.
